Van Vicker Goes into music fully
Ghanaian Actor, Producer, Director Van Vicker after so many years contributing to the growth of the Ghanaian film industry have officially decided to ram into the music industry fully.
The actor who made this revelation known to us said that, he is a showbiz and a businessman so he will like to use his image to support anything that needs support within the showbiz industry.
“I have chosen music now because I think I have done much for the movie industry, with my Van Vicker training facility; being a producer and a director as well- so time to contribute to the music industry as well” he stated.
Talking about the music industry, he said that when it comes to real talent in music you can’t do away with West Africans, especially Ghana, but he believes more talents are still underground that need to be given the necessary push.
He revealed that he will be running an audition through-out the month of February to discover real talent and then invest in them.
When asked what genre of musicians he will be hunting for, Van Vicker retorted “any genre that can catch the international eye”.
“I am looking at discovering a talent for the international market, it doesn’t matter if is hip-life, gospel, reggae, etc, what matters is real talent” he added.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship Candidate in Lagos State, Mr. Jimi Agbaje, on Sunday claimed he is the best man to run the affairs of the State as he has no political godfather that will negatively influence and manipulate him when voted into office.

The governorship Candidate said that if given the mandate, his administration would seize all properties gotten illegally in the state.

“In Lagos, you may find good programmes on paper but you will see that the implementation is being affected by vested interests. Anything that Lagos does must be in the interest of what I call vested interest. So, the light rail project and the Bus Rapid Transit are not working again because there are vested interests.
“We have vested interest affecting the social, economic and political life of our state. You cannot have any big project in Lagos unless you take into consideration the vested interest. It is affecting our state and we are saying that it is time to remove Lagos from this bondage”, he said

FEDERAL GOVERNMENT REDUCES THE PRICE OF PETROL TO N87.
As you may be aware, there has been a lot of volatility in the oil market in the past few months and due to this the importation prices of our petroleum products have been impacted.
Therefore, with the approval and directive of Mr. President and by virtue of Section 6 clause 1 of the Nigerian Petroleum Act, it is my responsibility as Minister of Petroleum Resources to hereby announce a reduction in the pump price of Petroleum Motor Spirit (Petrol) from the current Ninety Seven Naira (=N=97) per litre pump price down to Eighty Seven Naira (=N87=) per litre pump price, effective from twelve (12) midnight Sunday, 18th of January 2015.
Accordingly, I have directed the Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency (PPPRA) and the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) to ensure strict compliance of this price adjustment by all marketing companies.
It is my hope that all Nigerians will benefit from this adjustment. I thank you and God Bless you all.

This is the juice - On Sunday December 7th 2014, Nadia Buari was spotted with a humongous diamond ring at the burial of the late mother of co-actor Majid Michel which was linked to Jim Iyke and that was completely logical until we took a closer look and realized the ring on her finger differed from the one Jim proposed with, this one is actually bigger, nicer and much more expensive.

Lastly, we also discovered the beautiful actress had taken more trips than usual to the USA, particularly Atlanta within the last few months.
We are made aware Nadia resides in California but it all summed up when we received pictures of her with cooling with a hunk in Atlanta. Our sources suggest he is an old college mate but we suspect more.
Does this mean prophet TB Joshua didn’t do a complete deliverance on Jim Iyke ? Because it seems the so-called spirit that is making him single and doesn’t want him to marry is still lingering in him.
2Kriss releases maiden single on D’banj’s label
D’Banj’s record label, D B Records, has released the maiden single of its artiste, 2Kriss. The song is entitled ‘Jogede’ .
The duo of Moses and Ralph Christopher, who were once based in the United Kingdom, signed with the label last year, and released the song and a musical video a few days ago.
Jogede, which was recorded in Los Angeles, features Oritsefemi, while the video was directed by Moe Musa.
2Kriss described Jogede as a dance track that will get ladies and men dancing whenever its played in the club.
“Our fans have been enjoying the song in just few days it was officially released. The attention has been massive. We thank D’Banj for the opportunity given to us. It has been awesome since we started working with the record label”, the duo told R.
Others on the label are D’Banj’s younger brother, Kay Switch as well as J Sol and Tonto Dike.

As a father of five daughters, whenever I think of Muhammadu Buhari, what comes to my mind is a regime that was completely insensitive to the feminine gender.
First of all, Muhammadu Buhari had an all male cabinet at the very time when the world had very good examples of the sterling nature of females in power including the Iron Lady herself, Mrs. Margaret Thatcher of The United Kingdom and the phenomenal Indira Gandhi of India.
Does it mean that neither of these women could inspire Buhari to have included even one woman in his cabinet?
All his ministers and advisers, his Military Governors and the ambassadors he appointed were men!
And to rub salt to injury, Buhari is promising to close down the office of the First Lady if he is elected! In the year 2015! Are we moving forward or backward?
President Jonathan has been campaigning and everybody sees his wife by his side. If I may ask, where was Mrs. Buhari until recently presented for political purposes?
Is she wrapped up in seclusion somewhere? Does her complete isolation from the public personae and campaigns of her husband not indicate that he still does not think that women have a role to play in government even if if is ceremonial?
And nobody should tell me that it is unislamic to honour your wife with a visible place by your side.
Is Buhari more Muslim than the people of Indonesia who elected a woman to head their government in the person of Megawati Sukarnoputri?
Is Buhari more Muslim than the people of Pakistan who elected a woman to lead them in the person of the late Benazir Bhutto?
I deliberately cited Indonesia and Pakistan because they are the largest and second largest Muslim nations in the world with deep Islamic traditions that date back to centuries.
If these nations can entrust women with political power at the highest levels, why should Buhari tend to put women in the background?
I dare say that it has not escaped the attention of Mrs. Buhari that President Goodluck Jonathan has appointed more women into his cabinet and into other high positions than any other government before his.
Again, I suspect that Mrs. Buhari is not unaware of the respect and recognition which the President accords his wife, Dame Patience Jonathan.
Seeing how a secure man treats his wife and seeing how she has been relegated not just to the background, but to obscurity, I have a strong feeling that Mrs. Buhari will not vote for her husband. Methinks President Jonathan would score an unexpected vote from the Buhari household.
I mean, take a look at the campaign rallies of the All Progressive Congress. How many women do we see in prominent positions? Not many or not at all.
Look at the report we are reading from Taraba. On Christmas Day, we were awaken with the headline ‘Taraba: Buhari rejects female APC guber candidate’.
From the story, we understand that General Buhari was not comfortable with the candidacy of
Senator Aisha Jumai Alhassan who made history as the first woman to win a gubernatorial ticket on a major party and with a landslide at that.
As a former gubernatorial candidate, I know what it takes to win a party primary for the gubernatorial ticket. It is a heavy weight fight in which the winner must defeat several heavy weights.
After Senator Aisha Jumai Alhassan performed this feat, instead of being congratulated, she met with rejection from Buhari. It only goes to show how deep seated his prejudices against women is.
If there were ever any doubts as to the role Buhari expects from women that story wipes it away.
If the women of Nigeria want to undo whatever gains they have made in the last four years where they have had 12 women appointed as ministers, in which they finally had entry into the Nigerian Defense Academy courtesy of an Executive Order issued by President Jonathan and the first female
Chief Justice of Nigeria appointed under President Jonathan, they may go ahead and vote for Buhari.
But before they do so, they better ask their husbands to buy air conditioners for their kitchens because they may be spending the next four years there.

Ghastly Accident In Edo APC Convoy - One Feared Dead
FRSC Rescues 15 From Burning Vehicle
IT was a sad day for Edo All Progressives Congress (APC) Saturday, as it lost a member while not less than 23 others sustained injuries in an automobile crash.
The incident happened as one of the vehicles in its convoy, an 18-seater Toyota Hiace bus had a head-on collision with a Volkswagen Station wagon vehicle marked Lagos TK 446 KJA, near Okada village in Ovia North East local government council.
As a result of the incident, the governor, Adams Oshiomhole, who was said to have been preparing to leave his Iyamho village, immediately ordered cancelation of the rallies for the day.
Deputy governor, Pius Odubu, conveyed the cancellation of the scheduled campaigns, which would have seen the party visiting Egor, Ovia North East and Ovia South West councils.
An eyewitness said the accident happened at a sharp bend in the narrow road leading to Okada, as the Volkswagen car hit the bus from the sides. The bus reportedly somersaulted several times and fell on two occupants who had been thrown out of the window.
It took the combined efforts of others in the convoy to lift the bus from the victims. One of them, however, was said to have died on the spot while the second and other seriously injured occupants of the two vehicles were rushed to a private hospital in Okada and Benin City.
The Volkswagen, incidentally, was branded with the insignia of opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) House of Representatives candidate for Ovia Federal Constituency.
Odubu who later visited the victims in various hospitals announced that the state government and the local government would take care of the hospital bills of all the victims.
“It is a very sad moment for us, losing one of our members and about 11 of them are in the hospital. We are supposed to have rallies at Egor and Ovia, but when this incident happened, the Comrade Governor called that the rallies be cancelled in honour of the victims. We are praying for others who are still in the hospital receiving treatment. For now, we have suspended our campaigns,” Odubu said.
Meanwhile, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) zone RS5 in Benin, yesterday, said it rescued 18 persons from the scene of a multiple accident on Friday at Ewu, near Irrua in Edo.
The Zonal Commanding Officer (ZCO), RS5, Charles Akpabio, who confirmed the accident to journalists, said 18 of the 19 passengers on board were injured while one died on the spot.
Akpabio, whose command comprises Edo, Delta and Anambra state Commands, said the vehicles involved were Toyota Hiace buses belonging to Benin-based private transport companies.
He attributed the possible cause of the accident to break failure.
